Myofascial Release is a safe and gentle hands-on technique that involves the application of a gentle pressure into the connective tissue which will slowly allow the fascia to stretch gently, aiming to balance the body.

Fascia is located between the skin and the underlying muscle structures and bone, it is a seamless cobweb of connective tissue that covers and connects the muscles, organs and skeletal structures in our body.

Myofascial Release can be used to treat a wide range of disorders including:

  • overuse injury such as tennis elbow or shin splints
  • some sports injuries
  • tension headache
  • pain caused by poor posture
  • some types of chronic back pain
  • some types of joint pain, such as shoulder impingement syndrome
  • muscle sprains.

The main goal of Myofascial Release is to be able to release the fascia restrictions and restore the tissue.
